Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us and that is why we want to
inform you about how we protect the privacy of visitors to our
site. Please take a moment to read our policy, which describes
our practices for the collection and use of personally
identifiable information on this site. Sites that are linked to
our site may have different policies, so please review the
privacy policy notices on those sites for details. We do not
collect personally identifiable information about you on this
site without your knowledge or permission, and any such
information is collected directly from you with your consent.
At Xycod, we have a few fundamental principles:
We do not ask you for personal information unless we truly need
it. We do not share your personal information with anyone except
to comply with law enforcement; develop our products; or protect
our rights. We do not store personal information on our servers
unless required for the on-going operation of one of our
services.
It is Xycod’s policy to respect your privacy regarding any
information we may collect from you while operating our
websites.
Website Visitors
Like most website operators, and through various standard tracking methods and log files, Xycod collects non-personally-identifiable information of the type that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as domain names, Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser types, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Xycod’s purpose in collecting non-personally-identifiable information is to track aggregate traffic patterns throughout Xycod’s website and to better understand how our visitors are using the Xycod website. Such information is not correlated with any personally identifiable information and Xycod does not use such information to identify its visitors. Xycod does not disclose such information, other than under the specific circumstances for disclosing personally identifiable information, as described below.
Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information
Certain visitors to Xycod’s websites choose to interact with Xycod in ways that require Xycod to gather personally
identifiable information. The amount and type of information
that Xycod gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For
example, we ask visitors who sign up to provide a username and
an email address. In each case, Xycod collects such information
only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the
purpose of the visitor’s interaction with Xycod. Xycod does not
disclose personally identifiable information other than as
described below. Visitors can always refuse to provide
personally identifiable information, with the caveat that it may
prevent them from being able to engage in certain
website-related activities.
Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information
Xycod discloses potentially personally identifiable and
personally identifiable information only to those specific
employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i)
need to know such information in order to process it on Xycod’s
behalf or to provide services available at Xycod’s websites, and
(ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of
those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be
located outside of your home country and by using Xycod’s
websites, you consent to the transfer of such information to
another country.
Xycod will not rent or sell potentially personally identifiable
and personally identifiable information to anyone. Other than to
its specific employees, contractors and affiliated
organizations, as described above, Xycod discloses potentially
personally identifiable and personally identifiable information
only when required to do so by law, or when Xycod believes in
good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect
the property or rights of Xycod, third parties or the public at
large. If you are a registered user of Xycod’s website and have
supplied your email address, Xycod may occasionally send you an
email to tell you about new features; solicit your feedback; or
just keep you up to date with what’s going on with Xycod
products. We primarily use our various product pages to
communicate this type of information, and we expect to keep this
type of email to a minimum. If you send us a request we reserve
the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond
to your request or to help us support other users. Xycod takes
all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the
unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of
potentially personally identifiable and personally identifiable
information.
Cookies (top)
Xycod may use cookies from time to time. A cookie is a string of
information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer which
the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the
visitor returns. Xycod may use cookies to personalize web pages
during your visit to our web sites, such as your preferred
language, and/or to remember you for easy navigation and access
during your return visits after registering for our products,
services or other offers. For these purposes, some cookies may
be tied to your e-mail address. However, this information will
only be used for the purpose of analysis and will be limited to
the minimum information necessary to perform that analysis. Xycod visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their
computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before
using Xycod’s websites, with the caveat that certain features of Xycod’s websites may not function properly without the aid of
cookies.
It is up to you to make the decision whether or not to proceed with any activity that requests potential personally identifiable information. If you do not wish to provide the requested information, however, you may not be able to complete the transaction or utilize a particular functionality on the site if the information is essential to complete the transaction or functionality.
IP addresses (top)
Xycod collects and retains, for a limited
time, internet protocol (IP) address information of its
customers, for the following purposes: subscription and
registration; to provide technical support; to obtain
geographical information; and to secure our networks and
systems. IP addresses collected by Xycod are primarily traffic
data, as noted above, which is not necessarily personally
identifiable information. Xycod does not have the means to
reasonably and authoritatively link an IP address to an
identifiable individual. Registration of a product does create a
unique computer identifier, which is linked to an IP address at
the time of registration; however, IP addresses are usually
assigned dynamically and therefore are temporary, and may be
behind network address translation, and are often capable of
falsification (spoofing).
Links to Business Partner (top)
At our Xycod websites, there may be links to companies with whom
we have a business relationship. Xycod is not responsible for
the privacy practices of our business partners. We encourage you
to read their privacy statements, as they may differ from ours.
We also encourage you to read the privacy policies on any
co-branded site that you may follow a link to for information on
the privacy practices of that site.
Privacy Policy Changes (top)
Although most changes are likely to be minor, Xycod may change
its Privacy Policy from time to time, and at Xycod’s sole
discretion. By using our site you consent to our collection and
use of your non-personally-identifiable information, potentially
personally identifiable information, or personally identifiable
information as described in this policy. Xycod encourages
visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its
Privacy Policy. Your continued use of this site after any change
in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such
change.
Thank you for visiting our Xycod websites, and for taking the time to read this policy.
